If ordering multiple signs you will only pay a total delivery charge of £5.95.

We use both Royal Mail and DPD courier services. We will select the appropriate service dependent upon the size & weight of the delivery. On dispatch we will notify you by email and when sending by courier you will receive a separate notification with details of the delivery. Please note that courier deliveries will require someone to be available to sign for the delivery.

We package all of our signs securely to ensure they are well protected in transit. We aim to dispatch all orders within 7-10 working days of receipt of a confirmed and paid order however these are custom made products and therefore sometimes dispatch can take a little longer during busy periods. If you need your sign urgently please contact us as we may be able to help.

We currently ship to the UK only.

Yes all signs come complete with a fixing kit.

Yes, we offer the option of hidden fixings on our 20mm thick signs, simply select the hidden fixing option on the product page from the drop down box to order.

If you want maximum visibility then it's best to opt for a white paint infill. The natural finish is a beautiful, more subtle, alternative on which the text appears as a light grey. We'd advise reviewing the images on the site to see the difference in finish. One thing to note is that if opting for the natural finish the engraved areas do appear darker when wet but revert to the lighter colour when dry.

Slate signs require minimal maintenance however if you do need to clean your sign we recommend using only mild soapy water and a soft cloth. Over time the surface may dull slightly so if you want to darken the surface and add shine again we recommend using a small amount of teak oil on a soft cloth to restore the shine and lustre (always ensure your sign is clean and dry before applying oil and avoid any engraved areas on a natural finish sign).

Yes all of our slate signs are suitable for external use.

We only offer one type of slate which is the graphite (grey/black) slate shown in our photos. We only use slate with a smooth honed finish which accentuates the natural pattern and variations that are present in slate. As a natural product each slate has its own distinctive colors and markings which makes it unique, some slates will have more or less variation than others.

We've found (through lots of experimentation, trial and error!) that the most beautiful signs are made with a traditional deep engraving. We've tried other methods and although a traditional deep engraving takes longer and is a more difficult and involved production process we want to make the best signs possible so it is the only method we use for making our slate signs.

Please don't confuse our signs with laser engraved ones. Laser engraving can't produce a deep engraving and simply burns the top layer of the slate, a laser engraved sign simply doesn't compare to a properly deep engraved sign!

Customers in areas considered 'Highlands and Islands' pay the standard delivery charge but please bear in mind that delivery to remote locations can take a little longer.

All orders are placed online. We've made online ordering really simple, we promise! If ordering a bespoke sign we'll send you a custom checkout link to enable you to complete the order on our website. If you are having any difficulty placing an order online by all means get in touch (using the Contact Us tab on the bottom right of your screen) and we'll do our best to help.

You'll receive an order confirmation email from us. If you don't see it in your inbox we'd recommend checking your spam/trash box as sometimes they land in there. Still can't find it? Get in touch and we'll check for you and can resend your confirmation.

We aim to send all visuals within 48 hours (Mon-Fri) of receiving your order. If 48 hours has passed and you haven't received your visual please get in touch. Before contacting us please check your spam/junk folder just in case the email got delivered there instead of your inbox.

If you've requested a visual and haven't replied to our email then this is probably the issue. If you have replied and 7-10 working days (working days are Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays) has passed then get in touch with us for an update. If your sign has been shipped you will have received a dispatch confirmation email.

Yes, we actively encourage our customers to leave a review of their sign. Click the 'REVIEWS' link in the navigation bar at the top of our website or view them under each product to read some of the hundreds of reviews that we've received. If considering ordering from a company that doesn't seem to have a review system we'd always recommend performing a Google search for '*insert company name* review system' as many hide their reviews when they stop looking favourable!
